Caramel Apple Walnut Pie
Apples in a sweet, creamy base are topped with a walnut crumble and baked until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
Definitely will make it again. "Delicious"!! Added nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla extract. Will likely increase the walnuts next time, or consider pecans.
First cook up a very creamy and rich fudge layer using two kinds of chocolate -semi-sweet and unsweetened. Then pour it into a graham cracker crust and bake. Add a cream cheese layer and bake again, and then top the pie with milk chocolate cream drizzled over the top.
I followed the recipe--and some of the suggestions from previous reviewers--which I think made this fantastic. I added 1 tsp of cornstarch to the apples when mixed in with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Also, like the reviewers suggested, I used less brown sugar both when mixed in with the apples and cinnamon (and cornstarch) and less brown sugar with the flour and walnuts mixture. Finally, we used Matsu apples--from a local orchard--and they were just perfect!
Classic caramel apple pie with a twist! The caramel filling sauce is poured over the lattice-top of the pie, giving it a more intense flavor.
An open-face apple pie filled with apples, raisins, walnuts. All topped off with a drizzling of sweet icing.
Fresh Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg make these easy apple pie bars a crowd-pleasing choice especially when covered with caramel.
Ground walnuts, butter and sugar are combined, pressed into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate and baked. This is the perfect crust for a custard or ice cream no-bake pie. And it freezes beautifully.
A delightfully simple walnut pie with a cake-like consistency.
